FITNESS LEADER TO JOIN BURGER PLANET TEAM

GARY IN- Burger Planet announced today that they have hired Jayne Petersen, 42, to help build and implement a new healthier menu. Petersen is a fitness guru who has recently helped celebrity talk show host, Opal Whitcomb, lose 75 lbs and keep the weight off.

Jayne Petersen stated that she is joining the team because, "Burger Planet has been a leader in the Quick Service Restaurant industry in offering healthy menu choices.” She also believes that the company believes in encouraging customers to live healthier and more active lifestyles.

Burger Planet, along with Jayne Petersen, will be adding new healthier items to the menu, such as white chicken breast meat, lettuce for a low carb option, gourmet salads and fruit packets. All of the original menu will also be available as well.

CEO, James E. Mullenbach III, is excited for Peterson to get on board and stated that, “Jayne Petersen and Burger Planet share a commitment toward health. The women Jayne Petersen has helped to lose weight eat at Burger Planet.” Mullenbach said that Burger Planet cares about customers and they are listening to them to find out what it is they want.

James E. Mullenbach founded the Burger Planet in 1934 in Indianapolis, IN. Popularity for the franchise has spread to 17 different states with almost 9,000 franchises. James E. Mullenbach III, who is the grandson of the founder, is now the executive of Burger Planet.

Mullenbach and Petersen are both excited to offer healthy options to people all over the world.
